Enhanced Cleaning Procedures

We work hard to ensure the safety of our guests, our staff, our community and ourselves, and are following all specific Government cleaning guidance.  We already undertake an extremely high standard of cleaning and this is regularly commented upon by guests in our visitors book and online reviews, all of which are publicly available. But of course since 2020 we have been even more vigilant than normal:

  • We have extended our cleaning hours to allow for thorough deep cleaning, sanitisation and full airing of the Nest.

  • All cleaning is carried out wearing the correct PPE if deemed appropriate.

  • All bed linen, duvet, mattress & pillow protectors, towels, flannels, teatowels, dishcloths & throws are washed on a full 60° wash cycle.  Guests are free to bring their own bedding, duvets and/or towels if they would prefer, this can be arranged in advance.

  • Special attention is being paid to sanitising ‘high traffic’ touch points, ie. Light switches, plugs, door handles, TV remotes, small appliance handles, heating thermostat, handrails, taps, toilets, keysafe, garden furniture, etc.

  • All mattresses, pillows, duvets & soft furnishings are sprayed with fabric disinfectant.

  • Our detailed Enhanced Cleaning Protocols can be viewed here

What We Ask of You

We also trust in our guests to respect our local community and the procedures we work hard to implement.  Therefore we request that you follow all UK Government advice for the duration of your stay with us, and we ask you to agree to take individual responsibility for your own personal safety during your stay here.  If you have been exposed to the virus or develop symptoms just before your visit, try to stay at home in accordance with current Government advice. Please do therefore make sure you have taken out adequate travel insurance.

  • Frequent handwashing is still the best form of defence, and we are strongly reiterating this message to both staff and guests.

  • For your own use during your stay, you will be given cloths, gloves and virucidal surface cleaner for hard surfaces ONLY (ie. Please DO NOT spray this on fabric or soft furnishings).

  • Please DO NOT bring your own bleach-based cleaning products, as bleach should not be used in our septic tank system.

  • There is also hand sanitiser available at the entrance door to the Nest, as well as antibacterial handwash & tissues at all sinks.

  • We request that you air the property as much as is practically possible during your stay.

  • Prior to departure, we also ask that you put all linen and towels in the laundry bags provided and vacate the Nest at 10am prompt.

  • If you develop symptoms during your stay, we would appreciate you letting us know so we can take measures to ensure our cleaning staff are protected.

** We cannot recommend strongly enough that Guests take out travel/holiday insurance to cover their party and protect from any losses associated with needing to cancel your holiday.  For complete peace of mind, it is well worth the minimal cost involved.**

Please bear with us as we strive to ensure you have

the most relaxing, safe and enjoyable holiday possible.

And please do raise any concerns or questions you may have so we can try and resolve them for you.
